As usual, Patrick has some valuable insights to share. The dollar is the world's currency of choice and will continue to be until someone says, in effect, "I don't believe in the long-term purchasing value of the dollar and won't buy any more."

BTC and ETH will be ready alternatives with value determined by market forces -- if central bankers and governments allow them to exist. In my view, this is an open question.
