A few additional ideas:

1. Wealthy people understand that long-term owning is more valuable than short-term spending.

2. Wealthy people do not invest for average returns as they don't want average results.

3. Wealthy people do not make career decisions based on what they "love;" they acquire skills (often based on a baseline of capability -- i.e., something that they are likely to be good at doing) for which others will pay a lot.

4. Wealthy people are not loyal to their employers -- they are loyal to themselves -- as all of us should be.
